Capturing the spirit of Staffordshire at the Visit Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Awards 2026

Capturing the spirit of Staffordshire at the Visit Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Awards 2026

Some events need more than a record of what happened.

They need a film that captures the atmosphere, the people and the sense of occasion. Most of all, it needs to show what made the night special.

That was our brief for the Visit Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Awards 2026.

The annual awards celebrate the best of the region’s tourism and hospitality sector. They recognise the businesses, attractions and people putting Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent firmly on the map.

For us, it brought together two things we know inside out: event filmmaking and films that promote place.

Not your average awards night

We filmed throughout the evening and interviewed a selection of the winners. Around those interviews, we gathered rich b-roll of the venue, the guests, the awards and the celebrations. Those moments tell the story of a great event.

But this wasn’t a typical awards ceremony.

The drinks reception was held at the National Fairground Museum at Statfold Country Park. It was a brilliant, unexpected backdrop, and a chance to capture something different.

So we filmed guests on the rides and exploring the museum. The footage goes beyond arrivals, handshakes and trophies. It lets viewers feel what it was like to be there.

The result is a short, energetic film that celebrates more than the awards. It celebrates the people and places that make Staffordshire such an exciting destination.

Place is more than a pretty location

We’ve made films for local authorities, tourism bodies, attractions and businesses across Staffordshire and beyond. That experience has taught us one thing above all:

Great place-promotion isn’t about beautiful shots. It’s about finding the people, stories and experiences that give a place its identity.

Every project starts with purpose. Whether it’s a tourism campaign, an event, a destination or a local business, we create content that feels authentic, engaging and useful. It’s built to work hard across websites, social media, campaigns and wider marketing.

Our work with councils and tourism organisations covers promotional films, destination content, event coverage and photography. We understand how important it is to show a place positively and professionally.

At the Visit Staffordshire awards, we combined interviews, atmospheric event footage and a truly unique setting. The finished film is far more than a standard highlights reel.

“Above and beyond”: in their words

The feedback from the Visit Staffordshire team meant a lot. They told us we’d captured something that’s often hard to recreate after an event: the feeling of actually being there.

“Working with Inspired Film & Video was just that… inspired! Dan and the team were professional from start to finish, and understood the brief completely, they were very thorough before, during and after the event. Especially with us adding the additional unique aspect of holding our drinks reception in the National Fairground Museum at Statfold Country Park… not your average awards event!”

“As the event was unfolding, I had the thought that it would be a bit sad that the footage of the event to follow wouldn’t quite do it justice, as is often the case… but I was in for a real treat! The videos that Inspired produced absolutely captured the essence of the event and gave me goose bumps remembering and capturing a fantastic event for us!”

“Not only that but the compilations the team put together were on brief, any little tweaks needed were done in lightning quick time and the final outcome was great!”

“Thank you to all of the Inspired team, you have delivered above and beyond yet again and have captured our most successful tourism awards to date perfectly!”

One chance to get it right

Great event filmmaking isn’t just pointing a camera at what’s happening.

It means anticipating the moments that matter, finding the right people to interview and capturing real, natural interactions. And it means always knowing how the finished film will be used.

Events don’t wait, and there’s no second take. Our experienced team is at home in fast-moving environments. We work quietly alongside organisers and comms teams, and we’re always ready when something unexpected and brilliant happens.

For you, that means a smooth process from first call to final cut, with no surprises and quick turnarounds on any tweaks. Our focus stays on your people and your guests.

Awards ceremonies, conferences, graduations, festivals, tourism events: we make films that give audiences a genuine sense of the occasion. When the event is promoting a destination, we make sure the place is part of the story too.

The Visit Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Awards 2026 showed exactly that. We celebrated the people behind the region’s tourism industry and showcased the places that make it worth visiting.
