Inspiring the Next Generation of Creatives

We are big believers in nurturing the next generation of creative talent in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and beyond. Our team of talented creatives were all graduates of the Staffordshire University media production degree and we realise that students producing work whilst studying need a little help financially to produce their films. That’s why we are keen supporters of the Staffordshire University Horizon Fund.

The Horizon Fund provides scholarships, bursaries and opportunities for students funded by donations from alumni and the public. Contributions to the fund help students overcome barriers, achieve their potential and prepare them for the working world of the future – ready to make a positive impact and create a better tomorrow.

Every year we provide bursaries to students looking for investment in their final year film productions. We invite students to pitch their film ideas to our panel and we’ll offer advice and assistance to students and cash to the lucky winners to fund their ideas and productions. It’s a great opportunity for Inspired to help inspire the next generation of creatives at the University.

This year Oscar Bell, Bee Roberts and George Hristove all received financial support to produce their films and you can read more about them here:

Bursaries have paid for travel costs, kit hire, costumes, make-up, special effects and a variety of other costs which have helped add value to final-year productions.

We are committed to supporting the development of talented young creatives from across Stoke and Staffordshire via the provision of well-paid, well-supported careers as visual creatives and our support for the bursaries via the Horizon fund is a part of this. We are also proud to boast a team of locally educated creatives who all earned their degrees at Staffordshire University on the well-regarded media production course.

We look forward to continuing our support for the Horizon fund and can’t wait to meet more talented students next year and to hear more about their film ideas.
